Dr. Ram Chandra earned his PhD in Energy From Biomass Resources from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in January 2010. He completed his Master of Technology in Farm Machinery & Power Engineering (Agricultural Engineering) in July 2003, and Bachelor of Technology in Agricultural Engineering in 2001 from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, India. Dr. Ram Chandra also did Post-Doctoral research at Nagoya University, Japan in the area of agricultural biomass pretreatment for efficient production of biomethane to provide sustainable fuel and fertilizer. Dr. Chandra has authored 42 publications (as of August 2018) in various national, international, conference proceedings and feature articles. Dr. Ram Chandra’s key areas of research and interest are sustainable energy and environment, appropriate management of biomass resources for sustainable energy and bio-fertilizer production, GHG emissions and climate change understanding and management for abatement, efficient biogas production from agricultural biomass resources and sustainable rural energy systems.
